Vail

As a noun vail once meant profit; return; or proceeds.

As a verb it was to yield; to remove or doff, as a sign of deference, a hat.

  1. Oddly enough "Vail" is also the name of a ski resort in Colorado. And since it's one of the most expensive places in North America to vacation, this definition seems apropos!
