Accubation

   
Accubation is the act or posture of reclining on a couch, as practiced by the ancients at meals.

  1. Again, I am trying to bring the word into context. Would it be correct to say "Although the lady's intelligent eyes were almost completely hidden beneath the long dark lashes, from her accubatorial position at the far end of the villa's large dining room she was able to observe the conversation between the messenger and her husband very well, and the message's effect on the latter did not go unnoticed."
