Fichu

A fichu (pronounced fish-oo) is a lightweight triangular scarf worn by a woman; a large, square kerchief, folded diagonally into a triangle, worn by women from the 18th century to fill in the low neckline of a bodice; a draped scarf or shawl worn around shoulders and tied in a knot at breast, with ends hanging down loosely.

  2. I don’t normally allow advertising comments but I had to allow the one from Accounting Dissertations to show how stupid some of them are.

    a) The definition of fichu cannot be called an article by any stretch of the imagination!
    b) I doubt it's that helpful to someone doing an accounting dissertation.
    c) If it didn't make sense I'd be really p****d off.
    d) I am saddened that he / she took so long to read 'all the comments' when there weren't any!!!!! Shows a distinct problem with the English language!!
The moral of this story is - if you have an accounting dissertation to do, don't use their website for help!!
