"That's a great deal to make one word mean," Alice said in a thoughtful tone. "When I make a word do a lot of work like that," said Humpty Dumpty, "I always pay it extra."

Matronolagnia

Allegedly - i.e. according to one website but I cannot find it in a dictionary - matronolagnia means being attracted to older women, especially those with children. A strange word and a strange concept!

  1. Strange indeed, but it makes sense. It could also be the name of a beautiful flower, a large one with rounded creamy-white petals. "Mrs. Miller's matronolagnia always made first prize in the village flower contest, which caused Trudy a small amount of grief each year."

  3. It's not the older women I find strange, Martine, it's the children bit. Having one's own children is surely enough for anyone!!

  4. Martine. Let me put it this way... when you were 18 did you go hunting down 50 year old men? probably not, so a woman being that old and wanting young men/ boys even IS STRANGE.

Just because your older now doesn't mean whats normal and whats not gets to change because you got a wrinkle. Older women ARE beautiful but its strange to think a younger man my age would go for one. sorry.
