Bantling is an obsolete word for an infant or young child. I think it has a lovely sound and that it's a shame it has fallen into disuse.

  1. Except that "Bantling Boy" was the title of a really creepy episode of "Midsomer Murders" a few years back.

  2. I'll try to remember it and use the word at the next occasion! Does banter have anything to do with it?
